London based photographer Stephen Gill experiments with unpredictable techniques with his image making. After working as a documentary photographer, Gill felt compelled to push outside the boundaries of traditional photography and sought out more creative methods. With his series "Talking to Ants", Gill uses a plastic film camera and creates in-camera photograms by gathering small objects from the scene and placing them inside the camera while shooting. The results portray uncontrollable ways that these objects interact and obstruct the world in front of the lens.
