Give Something Good

on Wed, 12/05/2012 - 21:49

The holiday's can be a little stressful.  Yeah we know the story... Wait till the last minute and it'll be another last-minute episode of "Stuff You Find Around The House" and other holiday gift-giving disasters.   A turkey baster for your vegan friend?   A re-gifted napkin holder?  Sometimes it's a good call to let them make a few decisions.  Instead of gifting your sweetheart something boring or weird, give em a free ticket to new creative horizons and stay savvy!  Gift Certificates are available in classic dollar amounts of $15, $30, $60 and $120, they are pretty spiffy looking, and we'll mail em to you if you'd like so you can deliver it yourself!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

on Thu, 11/08/2012 - 17:34

So we're partnered with CourseHorse and Time Out NY to launch #FoodForThought, a new campaign to help feed hungry and hurricane-impacted New Yorkers through the Food Bank For NYC, while inspiring curious locals to learn a new skills this season.  All proceeds from these classes will be donated to the Food Bank, a solid organizatinon that provides food distribution, income support, and nutrition education to families and individuals in need.  Their efforts have redoubled in the aftermath of superstorm Sandy.

As part of the campaign, we'll be hosting two unique, seasonally themed classes that will contribute towards the goal of helping feed 10,000 New Yorkers in need.  Classes are booked exclusively through CourseHorse and will be offered all around the city, and can directly benefit our many neighbors who still lack basic needs in the aftermath of Sandy.  Help us reach our goal and tell your friends to check out these classes as well!
