"BKC is a haven for art, craft and photography lovers, and they offer tons of fantastic classes. The space we worked in was so fresh and inspiring. Our BKC instructors, Caitlin and Caroline, were so knowledgeable, friendly, and hands on..."
"You would be hard pressed to find a superior spot to be schooled in the fundamentals that you will need to know, at this price. I have taken workshops at several other local outfits, and the quality of the education here is *unmistakably* better. Excellent location in the heart of DUMBO near Brooklyn Bridge Park, knowledgeable and charismatic instructors who are well regarded professionals in the field, very cool studio space that classes are taught in, easy to use web registration, fun newsletter/events, and extremely accommodating customer service when you need a little extra help..."
"BKC is fantastic! For the first time (even though I've tried before) I feel like I know enough of the fundamentals to be able to take good photos or at least to know why the ones I'm taking aren't good. Charles and Justin are awesome, super helpful, and clearly very passionate about teaching. I just regret not finding this place sooner. What's even more awesome is that I don't need to stop at the basics class as they offer tons of other classes they offer. Thank you BKC!"
Last week BKC hosted the new and fabulous DIY class called To Dye For: An Intro to Fabric Dyes taught by Brooklyn's finest up and coming designer Rawan Rihani. A local blogger Ranu Rajkarnikar graced us with her DIY greatness for this class and you can see the post on our colorful night of fun on her blog Lanuchan!
"Merging interesting color combos and tying fabric to create pattern was a lot of fun to experiment with. I also learned that it's really easy to dye your own fabrics - all you really need is some fabric dye, cotton or silk fabrics and some hot water. The rest is up to your imagination." - Ranu Rajkarmikar
