Crash Course: Kids & Family

Who should take this class

Let’s be honest: many of us bought cameras primarily to take and share great photos of our kids and family, and we want to help you do just that!  If you’re expecting a new addition, or want to properly preserve the memories at the next big reunion, this class will provide you the basic skills and super-useful tips for getting natural shots of your loved ones.  Beginners welcome.

What you will learn

In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll get a crash course in some shooting fundamentals, like understanding the role of aperture in portrait settings, tips for avoiding blurry photos, and a live class shoot for group and solo shots.  Get the most out of the camera you’ve got, or rent one of ours, and learn to take control of the situation.  But be warned: once word gets out how great your photos are, you might be “encouraged” to bring your camera to every family gathering!

What to bring

Your camera with a clean-formatted memory card.  DSLRs or other cameras with full manual control of aperture, shutter speed and ISO are recommended but not required.  If you’re wondering about your camera’s capability, contact us for more details.
