UPDATE: DUE TO THE SURROUNDING CONCERNS OF COVID-19, WE ARE EXERCISING CAUTION AND POSTPONING THIS TALK. WE MAY MOVE THIS TO A LIVE-STREAM CONVERSATION AND WILL KEEP YOU UP-TO-DATE ON THAT. BE SAFE FRIENDS!

Photo Café: Longevity in Fashion Photography

This conversation will focus on photographers working in the fashion vertical. As the modes of publication, promotion and payment evolve, let’s discuss the impact on the professional practice of fashion photography. What are some of our new challenges, or ongoing issues, with an industry that values change, transformation and, often, elitist attitudes?

How does one sustain a career in a highly competitive industry? What about changing paths, or choosing a new direction? Does fashion photography have a lifespan?

This conversation will be joined by three current and former fashion photographers who will share their experience and insight with us. All photographers, stylists, and other fashion folks are invited to join and we will have time for attendees to share their experiences working in the industry.

Featured guests:

Kate Owen

Shxpir

Dennison Bertram

All talks are free with a suggested $5 donation. RSVP now to reserve your seat as this event is open to the public and fills up fast.
