In an Attempt to Find Oneself
These photographs are fragments of some of my most expansive and humbling days. The world is so big and I know so little, and all I wanted was to see it for myself. Taken throughout my 6-month backpacking trip around the world, each place challenged my definition of success and happiness. Maybe to be successful is to take your time. Maybe to be happy is to share that time with others.
My camera was a constant companion, guiding me to look at everything with more interest. I’ve found the world is more beautiful the more you train yourself to look for it. The world, in all of its magnificent complexity, is laid bare here through my eyes. These are the things that bring me joy, the places I’d stare at forever if given the chance, and the ways I’d spend my days on earth.
